Information, what to bring, what NOT to bring, and what to do!
  • Consignors with 15 or more items receive one pass to shop the exclusive private consignor sale before the public sale begins.

  • Consignors also receive one guest pass for the last 2 hours of the private consignor sale.

  • Consignors receive 60% of the selling price.

  • $7 will be deducted from each check to help cover expenses.

  • Checks not picked up by the last pick up time will be mailed following the sale.

  • Any unsold items not picked up by the last pick up date will be donated to charity after our Pack-a-Sack event.

  • We will accept cash, checks, MasterCard or Visa at the sale.  There will be a fee of $25 for returned checks.

  • We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • The Children's Closet reserves the right to price items that do not have a price.

What to Bring

  • Seasonal items only, please.  Spring & summer items sell better at our Spring Sales.  Fall & winter items sell better at our Fall Sales.
  • No adult clothing, including maternity wear.  Bring ladies wear and maternity clothing to "My Sister's Closet".
  • Only children's clothes.  For size 0-6 months: Limit of 10 outfits per gender.
  • Limit of 8 pairs of shoes per consignor.  Please choose your best to bring. 
  • NEW!  Bring items separated by size and gender to speed up the Drop-Off process.
  • Bedding sets should be packaged in large transparent plastic bags similar to what they were originally sold in.
  • When hanging shorts, skirts or slacks, pin them to the hanger on both sides at the waist. Do not fold over the hanger.

What NOT to Bring

  •  The Children’s Closet cannot accept the following items:

    - Out of date clothing; it won’t sell.
    - Items with missing buttons, broken zippers or missing parts.
    - No underwear or socks unless they are like new.
    - Any item that smells of smoke.
    - Any item that is stained, torn or very worn.
    - Car seats made before 2005; check recalls at (800) 424-9393.
    - No stuffed animals of any kind; no exceptions.
    - No TY products.

    We no longer accept maternity wear at the Children's Closet.
  •  CLICK HERE for tips on how to deal with some of the more common stains and problems.  We want only to improve the quality of our sale and your chances of selling your items.
  •  Junior sizes - these will be sold at My Sister's Closet sale. 
 
What to Do

 

  • Make a 3 x 5 index card ONLY like this.  

  • Price must be in dollar increments. ($1, $2, $10)
  • ND means No Discount.  If you put ND on your card, your item
    will not be sold at half-price.
  • Place clothing items on a hanger with hook facing left, like a question mark. 
  • For clothing, attach the card to the item with a safety pin in the upper 1" blank area.  (Sorry - we can't accept straight pins.)
  • For toys or other items, attach the card with tape, making sure that the card can be removed.
